Who is Yuri Kriventsoff?
Yuri Kriventsoff is your wedding photographer. I book the weddings, edit the photos, respond to inquiries, and design your Wedding Photo-Books.
How would you describe your photography style?
Mixed creative style of artistic and photojournalism photography.
How would you describe your working style?
I try not to interfere, my presence at your wedding will remain unobtrusive, enabling me to capture individual and candid moments. I don’t pose couple unless it’s during the engagement session or formals. You’ll never see me interrupting the first dance to ask for you to dip one more time.
How long have you been in business?
I've been capturing smiles since 2009.
May I have a list of references?
Absolutely. Just ask.
What information do I need to provide you before the wedding day?
Time to arrive, and addresses for where to start, the ceremony location, and reception location.
Have you ever worked at my wedding site before? If not, do you plan to check it out in advance?
If I haven’t worked at your wedding site before, I usually arrive at least 30-45 minutes early to check it out.
Will you have any assistants with you on that day?
I usually work alone unless a wedding is very large (250 guests or more). In that case a second photographer should be added.
What type of equipment do you use?
I shoot primarily with digital cameras. I try not to use off camera lights, unless it is absolutely needed, natural light is always the way to go.
Do you shoot in color and black & white? Both?
Black and white photos you’ll see from me are converted in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Do you provide retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services?
Yes. Every photo that is delivered will be adjusted for contract, exposure, highlights, white balance, etc.
How many proofs should I expect to see from my wedding?
On average, I’ll take about 2000 photos on an 8 hour day. Of those I deliver around 400-500 highest resolution retouched photos. If you’d like a copy of all the others, just ask (those however will not be touched up.)
How long after the wedding will I get the proofs?
The photos will be ready in about 2-4 weeks after the wedding date.
Do you have backup equipment?
Always. I shoot with 1-2 cameras at all times, and keep backups in the car.
What about a backup plan if you are unable to shoot my wedding for some reason?
I belong to a couple of professional photography networks, and in the event that I can’t make it, I'll arrange to have someone there who is a professional shooter of equal expertise. If I know a few weeks or days in advance, I’ll consult with you to make sure that you’re satisfied with the substitute. I’ve never had this happen before however!
What if we decide to change the date of the wedding?
Let me know and, if not previously booked, I’d be happy to change the date.
How far in advance do I need to book with you?
Couples book with me on average between 7-18 months in advance. Occasionally I get last minute bookings.
How much of a retainer do you require and when is it due?
The retainer is 30% and is applied to the final balance. It’s due at booking, and can be paid either by check, money order or credit card.
Do you offer a payment plan?
I don’t have any predesigned plan, but let me know if you need to set something up.
When will I receive a written contract?
Once you’ve let me know that you’d like to book, I’ll type it up right away.
If my wedding site is out of your area, do you charge a travel fee and what does that cover?
I don't charge travel fee for wedding within New England. If you have a destination wedding a travel fee will apply.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes. If your venue requires proof of insurance, let me know and I’ll make sure they get a copy.
If my event lasts longer than expected, will you stay? Is there an additional charge?
I will if asked. There is a charge of $250 per hour for overtime, and that is billed after the fact by standard 30 day invoice.
When is the remaining balance after deposit due?
1 day before the wedding.
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your contract, let me know. The retainer is not refundable however. If you need to reschedule your dates, just let me know, I'd be happy to do so.
Are there any additional charges not mentioned?
No. The only additional charges would be sales tax
Do you offer military discounts?
Yes! 5% for veterans and active duty military.
